Legislative District 34 Senator Curt Friesen will be in Aurora on Friday, February 28, at the Bremer Center starting at 7a.m. for a Legislative Town Hall. During this meeting, Senator Friesen will update constituents on legislative bills and proposals happening during the current session. In his second term representing District 34, Senator Friesen has primarily focused on lowering property taxes in the State of Nebraska during his time at . Current committee assignments for Senator Friesen include: Committee on Committees, Legislative Performance Audit, Revenue, and Transportation and Telecommunications. This Legislative Town Hall meeting is open to the public and will be hosted by the Aurora Development Corporation.

Youth Leadership Tomorrow will host The Freeze Out Games on Saturday, March 21st at Camp Augustine. Team of 4 will compete to win the freeze out trophy. There are 4 individual and 4 team events - including a polar plunge. Team registration is $200 and includes lunch. Check-in will begin at 9:30am and the event will kick-off at 10am. Celebrate the Island with Leadership Tomorrow and Grand Island Rotary. Vendors across the region will come and serve unlimited food and drink samples for attendees.
